In a nutshell
Everything we produce is fully glassmastered, which is the professional standard of creating optical media. From a glassmaster a stamper is made, which is used as a mould into which molten polycarbonate is injected, creating the discs. Once the discs have been made, they are aluminium coated and an anti-oxidisation layer is added and thermal dried. Once dry, the discs are then screen-printed and again thermal dried and packed onto spindles. From here they go to fulfilment where they meet their partner printed parts. All printed parts are printed Computer-to-plate (CTP), and trimmed to size. All relevant parts are then inserted into the required casing, overwrapped and despatched. The process takes around 10 days, although we do offer a fast-track service.
